Recently, Lin Zhang, Professor at the SIM, Wuhan University, was appointed as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Scientometrics, aninternationally renowned academic journal.
On the afternoon of November 30, the Information Office of Hubei Provincial People's Government held a press conference to interpret the first national Implementation Opinions on Perfecting the Evaluation Mechanism of Scientific and Technological Achievements published by Hubei Province, and introduce the reform policies and specific measures for the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements. Lin Zhang, Professor of the SIM, Wuhan University, was invited to attend the press conference to introduce the specific situation of the Responsible Peer Review Pilot Project of Ministry and Provincial Level undertaken by the Science and Education Management and Evaluation Center of Wuhan University, and interpret the concept and implementation framework of responsible peer review.

On October 2, 2019, Nature Biotechnology, an international authoritative journal, published “Collaborative Networks in Gene Editing” online via Data Page. The paper's first author Ying Huang is a young associate professor at our school, and Wuhan University was listed as the first research institute. The paper's co-authors included Prof. Alan L. Porter at Georgia Institute of Technology and Dr. Yi Zhang at University of Technology Sydney, and the corresponding author was Prof. Rodolphe Barrangou at North Carolina State University, who is also a member of National Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Engineering of the US.
